In a terminal
$ sudo apt install xrdp xorgxrdp -f
$ sudo nano \/etc\/xrdp\/startwm.sh

Above the line that begins with ‘test -x \/etc\/X11\/Xsession’ add following lines

.$HOME\/.profile
unset DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
unset XDG_RUNTIME

Save the file and restart the xrdp service
$ service xrdp restart
